Moosewood Nature Center

Moosewood Nature Center iis an independent, non-profit organization supported by memberships, donations, program fees, grants, and fundraisers.

Our mission is to celebrate nature through education and action in the Upper Peninsula. Although we are located on Presque Isle Park, we do not receive any funding from the City of Marquette.

Marquette Senior High School Varsity Dance Team

The Marquette Senior High School The We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution Program ipromotes civic competence and responsibility among the nation’s upper elementary and secondary students. The We the People print textbooks' and enhanced ebooks' interactive strategies, relevant content and the simulated congressional hearing make teaching and learning exciting for both students and teachers. The We the People curriculum is an innovative course of instruction on the history and principles of the United States constitutional democratic republic. 

The Team place third at the State competition but has just been awarded Wildcard Status and has been invited to travel to Washington DC to compete in the State finals. 30 students need to raise all the money to make this trip.  Please help them achieve that goal.

Westend Gearbusters

NorthStar Academy First lego League This internationally recognized program embraces STEM learning along with a set of core values that embraces cooperation, team building, friendly competition while providing STEM based learning initiatives. We service K-6th grade students and currently have three FLL Jr teams and one FLL team.

We are not a school sponsored program and all equipment and robotic components are purchased by fundraising alone. We also have traveled to Houghton for competitions. One of the wonderful aspects of this program is its continuous programming agenda that goes beyond our program here at NorthStar.Kids can continue to participate in the First program through High School!
